Rascals Promote David Schmoll to General Manager

Rascals Promote David Schmoll to General Manager

The River City Rascals have promoted Vice President of Ticket Sales David Schmoll to the role of Senior Vice-President and General Manager. Schmoll will oversee the day to day operations of the front office staff including corporate and ticket sales, marketing, event planning, community and media relations, and game day operations. With a previous stint as General Manager of the Mississippi RiverKings minor league hockey team, Schmoll brings years of leadership experience and a strong understanding of the revenue process to the role of General Manager for the Rascals organization.

During the 2018 season, Schmoll has overseen a double-digit percentage increase in ticket revenue while building relationships with corporate partners and overseeing various aspects of the daily operations of the front office. The experience gained this season made him the ideal candidate to step into the GM role for 2019 and beyond.

"David was a huge hire for us last fall in our continued efforts to revamp our ticket sales department and draw more people to the ballpark on a nightly basis. Through his leadership, work ethic, and positive attitude, David has proven he has a passion for our organization and the ability to lead the day-to-day operations of the front office for River City. As our corporate partners, fans, and the St. Louis community get to know him better this offseason, I have no doubt we will continue to see outstanding results," said Rascals President Dan Dial.

Along with this promotion, the Rascals have announced that Group Sales Executive and Box Office Manager Nicole Anderson has been promoted to the role of Director of Ticket Sales. Anderson is in her third season with the team after starting as an intern with the organization in 2016. In every role she has held with the team, Anderson has exceeded expectations and has been a major element in the successful revitalization of the ticket sales department during the 2018 season. Her focus, dedication, and commitment to achieving her goals made her the perfect choice to lead the ticket sales and operations department.

"Nicole has been an asset in our ticket sales department all season. She has proven herself as a leader within the organization and has accomplished every challenge we have put in front of her this year. I am confident that she will continue the growth of our ticket sales department into 2019 and beyond," said Rascals General Manger David Schmoll.

The Rascals have 12 home games remaining during the 2018 regular season and in the hunt for a playoff berth, so don't miss your opportunity to get your tickets and cheer them on as the season comes to a close.
