O'Fallon, Mo. – The River City Rascals have announced that St. Louis-native and 2019 Stanley Cup Champion Pat Maroon has joined Team Blue for the 2019 STL Legends Game at CarShield Field on Saturday, August 3. Maroon will compete alongside fellow champions Isaac Bruce and Andy McCollum and sign autographs during the VIP Autograph session prior to the game.
Maroon grew up in Oakville, Mo. and played for the NAHL's St. Louis Bandits before being drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2007. After skating for the Flyers, Ducks and Oilers, Maroon returned to St. Louis and signed with the Blues prior to the 2018-19 season. Maroon scored the game-winning overtime goal in the Conference Semi-Finals against the Dallas Stars en route to the team's first Stanley Cup Championship in franchise history.
